Now that I got a house for my own I can finally go wild buying stuff for our interior (although my boyfriend sometimes thinks I go a bit too wild on interior shopping), also when I’m on vacation. There’s nothing more fun than looking at things with a story, so to remember our great vacation I bought a couple of things that I love and suit our interior. The first thing I bought was this awesome wooden wine standard (my boyfriend actually spotted this one), which I think looks really cool on our liquor shelf. I also bought these super cute tapas serving dishes with typical French paintwork. Lastly I bought this awesome wooden salamander (you can spot lots of salamanders in the region) which was love at first sight to me. I had a hard time convincing my boyfriend we needed this in our home though (he’s quite attached to our plain white walls), but luckily I managed to get him to agree with me. What do you think of my purchases?

Nu dat ik een huis voor mezelf heb kan ik eindelijk los gaan met het kopen van spulletjes voor ons interieur (alhoewel mijn vriend soms vind dat ik iets te los ga wat betreft interieur shoppen), dus ook wanneer ik op vakantie ben. Er is niks leukers dan naar dingen met een verhaal kijken, dus om onze leuke vakantie te herinneren kocht ik een aantal dingetjes die ik te gek vind en die in ons interieur passen. Het eerste wat ik kocht was deze fantastische wijnstandaard (mijn vriend spotte deze eigenlijk), waarvan ik vind dat het super gaaf staat op onze drankplank. Ik kocht ook deze superschattige tapasschaaltjes met typische Frans schilderwerk. Tot slot kocht ik nog deze toffe houten salamander (je spot veel salamanders in de regio) wat liefde op het eerste gezicht was voor mij. Ik had echter wel moeite om mijn vriend te overtuigen dat we dit in ons huis nodig hadden (hij is nogal gehecht aan onze witte muren), maar gelukkig kreeg ik hem overstag.
