MAC spice lip pencil (available HERE)

Op instagram en in deze blog post over contouring heb ik al héél vaak de vraag gekregen welke kleur lippenstift ik de laatste tijd draag. Verassing, het is geen lippenstift, maar een lippotlood! Het is het welbekende MAC spice lippotlood welke al jaren ‘the $10 lip injection pencil‘ wordt genoemd. Het is dan ook één van Kylie Jenner, wie erom bekend staat alleen lippotlood (dus zonder lippenstift) te dragen, haar favoriete lippotloden. Het is ook een prachtige natuurlijke, maar toch opvallende kleur. Daarnaast draagt ze ook graag de kleuren soar (hier) en whirl (hier). De oplettende kijker heeft dit potlood trouwens ook al voorbij zien komen in mijn party ombre lips tutorial video. Zelf ben ik de laatste tijd dus ook een enorme fan van lippotlood en draag ze ook negen van de tien keer zonder lippenstift, dus over mijn hele lippen. Allereerst omdat ik enorm van mat houd en zelfs matte lippenstift glimt nog wel een beetje. Daarnaast blijft het ook veel langer zitten dan lippenstift. Een ander voordeel van lippotlood, en van MAC spice in het bijzonder, is dat je je lippen er voller mee kan doen lijken. Dit doe je door net buiten het echte lijntje van je lippen te tekenen. Deze techniek waar Kylie Jenner bekend om staat heb ik hier al laten zien. Nu heb ik van mezelf natuurlijk al behoorlijk volle lippen, maar wel gebruik ik deze techniek om de vorm van mijn lippen wat mooier en strakker te maken. 15 euro vind je misschien behoorlijk wat geld voor een potloodje, maar zo’n potlood gaat best lang mee en bovendien zijn die van MAC ook langer dan andere lippotloden die ik heb gezien. Ik ben fan en ben zeker van plan om nog meer kleuren aan te schaffen, suggesties (nightmoth heb ik al)?

On instagram and in this blog post about contouring I got asked many times which color liptsick I’ve been wearing latelt. Surprise, it’s not a lipstick, but a lip pencil! It’s the very well-know MAC spice lip pencil which has been called ‘the $10 lip injection pencil’ for years. It therefore is one of Kylie Jenner, who’s famous for only wearing lip pencil (so without lipstick), her favorite lip pencils. It’s a gorgeous natural color. Next to that she also loves wearing the colors soar (here) and whirl (here). If you watch my videos you should have already seen the spice lip pencil in my party ombre lips tutorial video. I’ve been a huge fan of using lip pencil lately and nine out of ten times I wear them without lipstick, so all over my lips. First of all because I really love matte and even matte lipstick still shines a little. Next to that it’s so much longer lasting than lipstick. Another advantage of lip pencil, especially MAC spice, is that it can make your lips look fuller. You do this by drawing just out of your real lipline. I already showed you his technique (hyped by Kylie Jenner) here. I have natural full lips, but I do use this technique to make the form of my lips a bit better looking. You might think 15 euros is a lot of money for just a pencil, but such a pencil lasts a long time and MAC’s pencils are longer than the average pencils. I’m a fan and I will definitely buy more colors, any suggestions (I already have nightmoth)?
