ENGLISH: It’s almost time for the 19th edititon of Amsterdam Fashion Week (AFW). From July 6th until July 16th Amsterdam will be one big city of fashion. You might already know that the Downtown program during Fashion Weekend with several events spreaded across Amsterdam’s Fashion & Museum district is public. But did you also know that you can take a seat front row at every topdesigner next to Holland’s fashion celebs, even without an inviation? Vodafone’s Amsterdam Fashion Week App will make this happen! With the integrated livestream you will never miss any show!

Can’t make it to the show?
This isn’t just interesting for people who don’t have an invitation, but also for people like me who can’t make it to every show. As I live all up in the North of Holland I have to travel quite a long time to get in Amsterdam. Besides that my latest train back home always leaves earlier than the last show ends. I was really bummed by the fact that I had to miss some great shows because of this reason last season. Well, Vodafone just solved that problem for me. This time I could just watch it in the train, cosy in my bed, at my favorite coffeehouse or even at a campsite in France (where I’m kind of hoping to end up during the summer break) with my laptop next to me so I could do a live report of it. Plus I’d probably get a better view than when I’m really there. Sounds really tempting, right?

A mess when it comes to remembering dates, times and locations?
I am planning to go to some shows though, but if there’s something I learned from the last edition it is that I’m a total mess when it comes to remembering dates, times and locations. So I ended up running all stressed from one location to another with pain in my feet and sweat dropping of my face. Believe me: Being late isn’t fashionable at all! This time the Vodafone AFW App will make sure that doesn’t happen anymore, since it also contains a day to day schedule and even a map! Since I will probably have some time left because of this cool feature while waiting for the show to start , I could also read the latest fashion news, discover all ins and outs about the designers and watch exclusive videos of the fashion shows. Great timekillers if you ask me!

DUTCH: Het is alweer bijna tijd voor de 19e editite van Amsterdam Fashion Week (AFW). Van 6 tot en met 16 juli zal Amsterdam geheel in het teken staan van mode. Wellicht wist je al dat het Downtown programma met verschillende events verspreid over Amsterdams Fashion & Museum District publiekelijk is. Maar wist je dat je nu ook front row bij alle topdesigners naast Nederlands fashion celebrities plaats kan nemen, zelfs zonder uitnodiging? Vodafone’s Amsterdam Fashion Week App maakt dit mogelijk! Door de geïntegreerde livestream mis jij nooit meer een show!

Niet in staat om de show real life bij te wonen?
Dit is niet alleen interessant voor mensen die geen uitnodigingen hebben, maar ook voor mensen zoals ik die simpelweg niet bij elke show aanwezig kunnen zijn. Omdat ik helemaal in het noorden van Nederland woon, moet ik vrij lang reizen voor ik in Amsterdam ben. Daarnaast vertrekt mijn laatste trein terug naar huis altijd eerder dan de show eindigt. Ik baalde vorig seizoen enorm dat ik om die reden enkele grote shows moest missen. Wel, Vodafone heeft dat probleem zojuist voor mij verholpen. Deze keer kan ik de shows gewoon bekijken vanuit de trein, lekker in m’n bed, bij mijn favoriete koffiehuis of zelfs op een camping in Frankrijk (waar ik hoop ergens in deze zomervakantie heen te gaan) met mijn laptop naast me zodat ik er live verslag van kan doen. Daarnaast heb ik waarschijnlijk veel beter zicht dan wanneer ik er echt ben. Klinkt verleidelijk, toch?

Een ramp als het op data, tijden en locaties aankomt?
Toch ben ik wel van plan om bij enkele shows aanwezig te zijn, maar als er iets is wat ik van de laatste keer heb geleerd, is het wel dat ik echt een ramp ben als het op data, tijden en locaties aankomt. Dus rende ik vorige keer compleet gestresst met pijn in mijn voeten en zweetdruppeltjes die van mijn gezicht vielen van de ene locatie naar de andere. Geloof mij: Laat komen is níet fashionable! Deze keer zal de Vodafone AFW App er voor zorgen dat dit niet weer gebeurt, omdat het ook een dag-tot-dag schema en zelfs een kaart bevat. Aangezien ik waarschijnlijk vanwege deze gave functie wat tijd over zal hebben terwijl ik wacht tot de show begint, kan ik het laatste fashion news lezen, alle ins en outs over de designers ontdekken en exclusieve videos van de fashion shows bekijken. Geweldige tijdsdoders als je het mij vraagt!
