Those of you who know me a little, know I’m a die hard Pinterest addict. Of course I pin a lot of fashion inspiration, but I also have a ‘Home’ board, on which I obviously pin inspiration for the home. I don’t have a home yet,or at leats not my own, since I still live with my parents. But my boyfriend and I do have plans for living together. We’re not sure about the when (this year or maybe next year) and where yet (will it my Leeuwarden or Amsterdam?), but I already started collecting inspiration. For a long time I was absolutely sure I only wanted black and white (and all shades of grey in between) in my house, but lately I started loving brown details as well, just details: For example a brown leather pouf or a brown cow skin rug. I think it adds a little soft touch, which makes your interior a bit more ‘home’.
It’s funny, because my opinion about the combination of black and brown also changed fashion wise. As I said in yesterday’s outfit post: I always thought black and brown were a fashion faux pas, but now I think it looks great together (still prefer all black everything, but it’s nice for a change).
