Pictures via Pinterest, Fash n Chips and Vienna Wedekind

Apparently my dad has been walking around super fashionable at camp sites for ages, because Nike and Adidas pool slides (Their fancy names are Nike Benassi and Adidas Adilette) are on trend! Who would have thought my dad would be a trend setter? Honestly, I didn’t (He probably did though).

So we’ve seen Freja Beha Erichsen rocking Nike slides for Vogue UK january 2014. And you know what they say, right? ‘If it’s in Vogue, it’s in fashion.’ So whether you like it or not, pool slides it is! But you know who made it happen even earlier: Alexander Wang’s cute little niece Ailia Wang! And she (or actually her stylist/uncle) even took it to another level: She wore them with socks. So wrong (in my town they’re worn that way by soccer hooligans, who probably have no intentions to be fashioable at all), yet so good! Oh and another earlybird is Dutch fashion blogger Christine R. from Fash n Chips who already adopted this trend last summer, before Vogue did! You go, girl! I totally understand why Vogue Netherlands (Vogue Nederland) asked her to blog for them now ;)

What do you think, would you wear Nike/Adidas slides outside the bathroom? And who would you pick: Benassi or Adilette? Or both? I might give them a go!
