Met Kerst als excuus heb ik deze week voor mezelf een heel mooi cadeautje gekocht: De Samsung NX3000 met kitlens  (een 16-50mm power zoom) en een 45mm f1.8 lens. Zoals jullie misschien wel wisten stond een systeemcamera, oftewel een compacte camera met verwisselbare lenzen, al een hele tijd op mijn verlanglijstje. Niet in ruil voor mijn spiegelreflexcamera, maar voor erbij. Op vakantie of als ik een dagje weg ben irriteer ik me namelijk enorm aan mijn zware spiegelreflexcamera. Ik krijg standaard last van mijn schouder en kan nooit eens een kleine tas meenemen. Heel vervelend. De 45mm f1.8 lens kocht ik er dan ook bij zodat ik er ook mooie outfit foto’s mee kan maken mét blurry achtergrond. De meeste outfit foto’s die je in de toekomst tegen zal komen op mijn blog zullen nog steeds gemaakt zijn met mijn Nikon D90 in combinatie met mijn 50mm f1.4 lens, dat blijft gewoon het mooist, maar foto’s die gemaakt zijn in andere steden dan in Leeuwarden zullen hoogstwaarschijnlijk met mijn Samsung gemaakt zijn. De Samsung NX3000 kocht ik echter ook om een andere reden, namelijk filmen. Ik filmde eerst altijd met mijn Nikon D90, maar deze filmt helaas niet in full HD, stelt niet automatisch scherp tijdens het filmen, kan maar maximaal 5 minuten opnemen en heeft geen omklapbaar schermpje waardoor ik mezelf kan zien. Allemaal erg vervelend. Al die problemen zijn echter opgelost met mijn nieuwe Samsung NX3000. Eén van de voornaamste redenen waarom ik voor deze camera ben gegaan  is het feit dat het schermpje 180 graden omhoog gedraaid kan worden. Samsung heeft deze camera op de markt gezet als een selfie camera, wat natuurlijk heel leuk is, maar ook voor filmen is dit heel handig. Olympus heeft overigens ook een camera waarvan je het schermpje 180 graden kan draaien, de Olympus E-PL7, maar bij deze camera gaat het schermpje omlaag in plaats van omhoog. Prima voor een selfie, maar natuurlijk niet echt handig als je ‘m op een statief wil zetten. Sony heeft wel een camera waarvan het schermpje 180 graden omhoog kan, maar deze is gelijk een stuk duurder en niet veel beter dan de Samsung NX3000.

Ik ben dus superblij met mijn nieuwe gadget! Hebben jullie wel eens overwogen een systeemcamera aan te schaffen?

Using Christmas as an excuse I bought myself a really nice present this week: The Samsung NX3000 with kitlens (a 16-50mm power zoom) and a 45mm f1.8 lens. Like you might already know a system camera, a compact camera with changeable lenses, has been on my wishlist for quite a long time already. Not in stead of my DSLR, but to use next to my DSLR. On vacation or when I go away for a day I’m always annoyed by my heavy DSLR. My shoulder always hurts and I can never bring a small bag. Very annoying. So the reason why I also bought the 45mm f.18 lens is so that I can also take nice outfit photos with a blurry background. Most photos you’ll see on my blog in the future will still be shot with my Nikon D90 in combination with my 50mm f1.4 lens, that’s just the best, but photos made in other cities than Leeuwarden will probably be shot with my new Samsung. I bought the Samsung NX3000 for another reason as well though, to film. I used to film with my Nikon D90, but it doesn’t film in full HD, doesn’t autofocus while filming, can’t film longer than five minutes and doesn’t have a flip-up screen so I can see myself. All those problems are fixed with my new Samsung NX3000 though. One of the biggest reasons why I choose this camera is because you can flip-up the screen 180 degrees. Samsung marketed this camera as a selfie camera, which is fun, but it’s also very convenient for filming. Olympus also has a camera which allows you to flip the screen 180 degrees, the Olympus E-PL7, but it goes downwards in stead of upwards. That’s fine for a selfie, but not so great when you want to put it on a tripod. Sony does have a camera with a flip-up screen, but this one is quite a lot more expensive and not much better than the Samsung NX3000.

So I’m very happy with my new gadget! Have you ever considered getting a system camera?
