Eindelijk ben ik de trotse eigenaresse van de beroemde MAC Ruby Woo lippenstift (hier verkrijgbaar), door velen bekroond als de ultieme rode lippenstift. Ik heb wel al een bordeaux rode lippenstift, maar een échte rode lippenstift ontbrak eigenlijk nog in mijn collectie. MAC beschrijft de kleur van deze lippenstift zelf als ‘levendig blauw-rood matte’ wat een hele goede beschrijving is. Het is namelijk een koele, maar knallende kleur rood en mat is ie zeker. In combinatie met een winged eyeliner, zoals ik laat zien op de vierde foto, geeft deze lippenstift echt een retro pin up girl look. Omdat ik houd van een strakke liplijn combineer ik mijn MAC Ruby Woo lippenstift met MAC Cherry lippotlood (hier verkrijgbaar). Volgens mijn internet research moest dit namelijk de mooiste combinatie zijn en ik kan dat zeker beamen. De kleuren matchen heel goed samen.
Ik ben heel blij met deze lippenstift, de kleur is geweldig en hij blijft ook nog heel goed zitten (ook na een maaltijd). Het lippotlood zorgt er natuurlijk voor dat de lippenstift nog beter blijft zitten. Omdat het een hele matte lippenstift is werkt ie wel een beetje uitdrogend, dus het is van belang om je lippen voor het aanbrengen goed te hydrateren.

I finally am the proud owner of the MAC Ruby Woo lipstick (available here), crowned by many as the ultimate red lipstick. I already have a burgundy red lipstick, but a real red lipstick was stilling lacking from my collection. MAC described the color of this lipstick as ‘very matte vivid blue-red’, which is a great description. It’s a cool, but popping color red and it sure is matte. In combination with a winged eyeliner, like shown on the fourth image, this lipstick really gives a retro pin up girl look. Since I love a crisp line I combined my MAC Ruby Woo lipstick with MAC Cherry lip pencil (available here). According to my internet research this should be the prettiest combination and I can definitely confirm that. The colors are a perfect match.
I’m very happy with this lipstick, the color is great and it’s also very long lasting (even after a meal). Of course the lip pencil makes it last even longer. Since it’s a very matte lipstick it does dry out your lips a bit, so it’s important to hydrate your lips well before applying.
