I’m obsessed with grid check print lately. As soon as I spot something with grid check print I NEED to have it. That’s exactly what happened when my visited my sister at her work a couple of weeks ago. She works as a sales assistent at a Dutch shoes and clothing store called Scapino, which is known for it’s small prices, but not so much for it’s fashion-forwardness. I therefore would have never imagined to find this awesome grid check T-shirt at Scapino, but I did! When I saw it I didn’t doubt for a second and immediately took it to the cash desk. I would have totally believed it if some one told me it was from some kind of trendy Scandinavian brand. So the lesson of the day is: sometimes you find a gem at the least unexpected place.

Ik ben de laatste tijd geobsedeerd door grid check (hoe noem je dat in het Nederlands?) print. Zodra ik iets spot met grid check print MOET ik ‘t hebben. Dat is precies wat er gebeurde toen ik mijn zusje een paar weken geleden bezocht op haar werk. Ze werkt als verkoopmedewerkster bij de Scapino, een winkel die wel bekend staat om lage prijzen, maar niet bepaald om fashionable kleding. Ik had dan ook nooit gedacht dat ik dit fantastische grid check T-shirt zou vinden bij Scapino, maar dat was dus wel het geval! Toen ik het zag twijfelde ik geen moment en nam ik het meteen mee naar de kassa. Ik had het echt geloofd als iemand me had verteld dat het van één of ander hip Scandinavisch merk was. Dus de wijze les van vandaag is: soms vind je een pareltje op de meest onverwachte plek.
