As you might already know by now I absolutely love contouring. Even when I’ve got to hurry I always contour my face, I’ll just save time by not wearing eye liner or no cream contour. Because yes, usually I do both: cream contour and powder contour. But if I really have to choose I go for powder contour. The perfect contour powder can be quite hard to find, but I found one at Etos(a Dutch drugstore) for only 3,99 euros! Perfect for the budget lovers!

As you can tell by the photos the Etos contour powder has a very cool brown shade, which is perfect! Most contouring powders are too warm, which looks very unnatural. You use contour powder to create shadows and shadows are not orange. Contour powders therefore need to be a cool brown tone (leaning towards grey), just like this one from Etos! But there’s more to love about this contour powder: the pigmentation. Budget make up products usually aren’t known for their pigmentation, but this Etos contour powder is an exception: the pigmentation is incredible! The first time I applied it, I therefore accidentally applied too much underneath my cheekbones, because I didn’t expect the pigmentation to be this great. Oops! So now I only put a tiny bit of product on my brush, which is more than enough.

Zoals je misschien wel weet ben ik dol op contouren. Zelfs als ik op moet schieten contour ik mijn gezicht, ik bespaar dan gewoon tijd door geen eyeliner te dragen of geen cream contour. Want ja, normaal gesproken doe ik beide: cream contour en powder contour. Maar als ik echt moet kiezen ga ik voor powder contour. De perfecte contour powder kan best lastig te vinden zijn, maar ik heb er één gevonden bij Etos voor maar 3,99 euro! Perfect voor de budget lovers!

Zoals je kan zien aan de foto’s heeft de Etos contour powder een heel koele bruine tint, wat perfect is! De meeste contouring powders zijn te warm, wat er erg onnatuurlijk uitziet. Je gebruikt contour powder om schaduwen te creëren en schaduwen zijn niet oranje. Contour powders moeten daarvoor een koele bruine tint hebben (neigend naar grijs), net zoals deze van Etos! Maar er is meer goeds aan deze contour powder: de pigmentatie. Budget make-up producten staan normaal gesproken niet bekend om hun pigmentatie, maar deze Etos contour powder is een uitzondering: de pigmentatie is fantastisch! De eerste keer dat ik het aanbreng, bracht ik daarom ook te veel aan onder mijn jukbeenderen, aangezien ik niet had verwacht dat de pigmentatie zo goed zou zijn. Oeps! Dus nu neem ik maar een klein beetje product op mijn kwast, wat echt meer dan genoeg is.
