During my 10 day trip to Toronto and neighboring areas a visit to the Niagara falls, one of the seven wonders of the world, of course was inevitable. I’m so glad we went, because it was magnificent. The Niagara Falls, the Horseshoe part, are the widest in the world and the view from the Canadian side of the river is the best (lucky us!). We could already feel the mist coming of the falls at the parking lot. I actually wanted to take these outfit photos in front of the iconic Horseshoe Falls, but because of the mist the background just turned completely white. So I therefore ‘settled’ with the American Falls as a backdrop. Not only do the falls cause a lot of mist, but also a lot of wind, hence the super messy hair.

Of course we also had to go on the Hornblower, the boat tour leaving from the Canadian side (the famous Maid of the Mist leaves from the American side) that brings you really close to the falls. This absolutely was a once in a lifetime experience. It’s so cool to see the falls from so close up. We actually came so close that we got absolutely soaked although we were wearing ponchos! So it’s a good thing we decided to take outfit photos before we did the boat tour ;)

About the outfit: during our entire trip I tried to look chic while being comfortable at the same time and I think this look is the perfect example. What do you think of this look?

Tijdens mijn 10 daagse trip naar Toronto en omstreken was een bezoek aan de Niagara Falls, één van de zeven wereld wonderen, natuurlijk onvermijdelijk. Ik ben zo blij dat we zijn gegaan, want het was adembenemend. De Niagara Falls, het Horseshoe gedeelte, is de breedste waterval ter wereld en het uitzicht vanaf de Canadese kant van de rivier is het best (lucky us!). We konden de mist die van de watervallen af kwam al voelen op de parkeerplaats. Ik wilde deze outfit foto’s eigenlijk maken voor de iconische Horseshoe Falls, maar vanwege de mist werd de achtergrond gewoon helemaal wit. Dus daarom nam ik genoegen met de American Falls op de achtergrond. Niet alleen creeeren de watervallen veel mist, maar ook veel wind, vandaar mijn super messy haar.

Natuurlijk moesten we ook mee met de Hornblower, de boat tour vertrekkend van deaf de Canadese kant (de beroemde Maid of the Mist vertrekt vanaf de Amerikaanse kant) die je heel dichtbij de watervallen brengt. Dit was absoluut een fantastische ervaring. Het is zo gaaf om de watervallen van zo dichtbij te zien. We kwamen zelfs zo dichtbij dat we helemaal doorweekt waren ook al droegen we ponchos. Dus het was een goed plan om foto’s te maken alvorens we de boat tour deden ;)

Over de outfit: tijdens onze hele reis probeerde ik er chique uit te zien zonder in te leveren op comfort en ik denk dat deze outfit het perfecte voorbeeld is. Wat vind jij van deze look?
