If you would have told me a few years ago that I would get really excited about receiving make-up products from Etos own label, a Dutch drugstore, I wouldn’t have believed you. I used to think of Etos own label as I would do of any drugstore’s own label: boring and low quality. But since they totally re-branded their own label I absolutely love their make-up products! The packaging looks very sleek, their products are always on trend and the quality is amazing. There’s one thing that didn’t change after the re-branding though and that’s the price: their products are super affordable! So I obviously got very excited when I received a package with new Etos products last week. There were two products that really attracted my attention: the new Etos Color Care lipsticks in the colors Rebel and Kylies Fav.

Kylies Fav
Kylies Fav indeed seems like a color Kylie Jenner would approve of. And since I approve of almost anything Kylie Jenner does make-up wise (you can say what you want about her, but this girl knows how to use make-up), I was absolutely sure I was going to like this color very much. It’s very much alike the color of my current favorite lipstick (Kat Von D Bow ‘N Arrow Everlasting Liquid Lipstick) and my favorite color combo before that (Mac Spice lipliner and Honeylove lipstick). The only thing different from those is that Etos Color Care lipsticks have more like a satin finish instead of a matte finish. Usually I’m more of a matte lipstick fan, but I must say I really like the comfort of a satin finish lipstick. They don’t dry out your lips as much as mattes do.

Rebel
I wasn’t quite sure about the color Rebel at first though, since dark lipsticks tend to make my already full lips even fuller, which can look a bit strange. Rebel isn’t as dark on the lips as you’d think judging by the color of the lipstick itself though. I actually really love it! It’s the perfect amount of ‘darkness’ for me. Anything darker than this wouldn’t suit my lips. These Etos Color Care lipsticks last pretty long for a ‘normal’ lipstick by the way, which is a big plus to me, since I’m not a big fan of reapplying my make-up multiple times throughout the day.

So if you’re looking for comfortable and affordable lipsticks in trendy colors, I could definitely recommend the Etos Color Care range. Next to Kylies Fave and Rebel, there will be three more gorgeous new shades: Desert Rose, 50 Shades of Nude and Pretty Liar. They cost only €3,99 each and will be available from September first!

Als je mij een paar jaar geleden had verteld dat ik heel enthousiast zou worden van het ontvangen van make-up producten van Etos, had ik je niet geloofd. Ik dacht altijd net zo over Etos als over andere huismerken van drogisterijen: suf en slechte kwaliteit. Maar sinds Etos haar eigen merk een complete metamorfose is ondergaan ben ik echt dol op hun make-up producten! De verpakking ziet er ontzettend sleek uit, ze spelen in op trend en de kwaliteit is geweldig! Dus natuurlijk was ik dolblij toen ik vorige week een pakketje ontving met daarin nieuwe Etos producten. Er waren twee producten die mij echt gelijk opvielen: de nieuwe Etos Color Care lipsticks in de kleuren Rebel en Kylies Fav.

Kylies Fav
Kylies Fav lijkt inderdaad wel een kleur die Kylie Jenner mooi zou vinden. En aangezien ik alles mooi vind wat Kylie Jenner mooi vind op het gebied van make-up (je kan zeggen wat je wil, maar deze chick weet wel hoe ze met make-up om moet gaan), wist ik zeker dat ik verliefd zou worden op deze kleur. Hij lijkt enorm op mijn huidige favoriete lippenstift (Kat Von D Bow ‘N Arrow Everlasting Liquid Lipstick) en mijn favoriete combo van daarvoor (Mac Spice lipliner and Honeylove lipstick). Het enige verschil is dat de Etos Color Care lipsticks meer een satin finish hebben in plaats van een matte finish. Normaal gesproken ben ik meer van de matte lipsticks, maar ik moet zeggen dat ik het comfort van een satin finish lipstick wel heel fijn vind. Ze drogen je lippen niet zo enorm uit als matte lipsticks doen.

Rebel
I wist eerst niet zo goed wat ik moest denken van Rebel, omdat donkere lippenstiften de neiging hebben om mijn volle lippen nog voller te doen lijken, wat er een beetje vreemd uitziet. Rebel is alleen helemaal niet zo donker op de lippen als je zou denken als je de lippenstift zelf ziet. Ik vind ‘m geweldig! Het is voor mij de perfecte dosis ‘donker’. Alles wat donkerder dan dit is past echt niet bij mijn lippen. Deze Etos Color Care Lipsticks blijven trouwens behoorlijk goed zitten voor een ‘normale’ lippenstift. Dit vind ik echt een groot pluspunt, aangezien ik er niet zo van houd om mijn make-up meerdere keren op een dag bij te werken.

Dus als je op zoek bent naar comfortabele en betaalbare lippenstiften in trendkleuren, dan kan ik zeker de Etos Color Care lijn aanraden.
