It’s a wrap! This was the second and last part of my Amsterdam Fashion Week highlights.

This was a men’s wear show and although the clothing was okay, the decorative bright pink earpluggs were a bit to distractive if you ask me. Could be me failing to understand fashion of course. What I really did like about this show was this cute laughing girl wearing  the coolest outfit. I would totally dress my kiddo, if I had one, up like this (without the stick in the beanie of course). I want those pants in a hundred sizes bigger so I could wear them myself. Oh and I just want that kid, but who wouldn’t right? I bet her mother must be very proud of her!

O-M-G. The best show I’ve ever seen, no doubt.  The theme of this show was Florence Nightingale. The models were worshipped my the soldiers as if they were angels fallen from the sky (quite the Axe-effect, huh ;), and that’s exactly what they looked like: angels or even goddesses. The collection was romantic, but edgy; not over the top and with a sexy twist. The most sexy of it all were the shoes which actually consisted of nude colored stockings sometimes with and sometimes without suspenders. If I could, bet I can’t since some of the models even found it hard, I would totally wear those shoes/stockings myself. And those corsets, pretty perfect right? But the most beautiful piece of the whole collection was this gorgeous white wedding dress: PERFECTION.

Winde Rienstra
Wow, talking about shoes! Those wooden geometric shoes were so supercool! I’m surprised the models didn’t seem to find it hard to walk on those killer heels. Anyway, I loved this collection. Black was the main color of this collection, what’s always good in my opinion. It was often mixed with a sand/wood color, a very pretty combo! Winde only used materials I deeply treasure like leather, crochet (didn’t know that could look so freaking sexy) and a fluffy fabric, but also something which looked like video tape: COOL! I’m drooling over that last pic, I need that skirt in my life. Somehow..

Shapewear, something my grandma would wear. I bet that’s your first thought when you hear the word ‘shapewear’ right, it was mine. My view up on shapewear drastically changed after viewing this show though; from dull to HOT! You only have to look at these pictures to know what I mean. Those models looked so damn sexy (okay, I bet people who actually need shapewear would look a lot less sexy in it, but still) wearing shapewear! I like how they combined it with items like an asyemmetric jacket or a bodywarmer and long leather gloves. I’m actually thinking about trying some looks with my bodywarmer after seeing this show. Never thought a bodywarmer could be that sexy as well.

The show we’ve all been waiting for. I had high expectations of this powerwoman and she didn’t fail to reach them! I totally loved this show! The collection contained lots of leather and black: Big like! But she also combined it with colors, not all at the same time though, but for instance black and red, black and blue and black and purple. Just the way I like it, no colorbombs please. I loved the clean cuts and the edgy looks (hair and make up) of the models. Thank you Elise for a wonderful show!

Lots of love,
Rowan
